WHEkEAS. the City of Englewood is rcq•1ired by Ci ty Choncr to ensure thot expenditures do not exceed legally adopted appropriation s; on, WHEREAS . the Cit y appropriated fund s for th< Off-Leash Dog Park in the Open Space Fund : and WH EREAS, the Water Qualily Pond is an t:ssen ti al clement in safi :guarding waler flowing int o the Allen Water Treatment Plant: and WHEREAS . when the Off-Leash Dog Park project wos originolly budgeted . the City belie ved the budget was odcquatc to complete the proj ect: ond WHER EAS. after actual bids were received it was determined th at th e original budget was not adequate to complete the Water Quality Pond. a critical clement of this project: NOW. BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED Th e City appropriated funds fo r the Off-Leas h Dog Park in the Open Space Fund. The Wa ter Q uality Pond is an es sentia l element in safeg uarding wate r flowi ng int o the wa ter tr eatmen t plant. When th e project was origina ll y budgeted, City staff b eli eved the budget was adequate to complete th e project. Aiter ac tu al bids we re receive d, i t was deter min ed th e original budget was not ad equat e to co mplete this c riti ca l elemen t of the project. COUNCIL BILL NO. 19, INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER WOODWARD A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SOUTH PENNSYLVANIA STREET SENIOR HOUSING PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) LOCATED AT SOUTH PENNSYLVANIA STREET AND HIGHWAY 285, IN THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOIJ, COLORADO. (c) Resolutions and Motions (I) Director Gryglewlcz presented a recommendation from the Finance and Administrat ive Services Department approving a Resolution authorizing a transfer of funds and a supplemental appropriation of funds to the 2006 Budget for additional expenditures related to the Water Quality Pond at the Englewood Off- Leash Dog Park . He said In the previous Study Session this topic was discussed and the amount was reduced by $10,000.00. The transfer, by resolution, from the Capital Projects Fund from the Unreserved/Undeslgnated Fund Balance Is $12,787.00 . The use of those funds Is a transfer out to the Open Space Fund In the same amount. In the Open Space Fund, the source of fund ls -the transfer In from the Capital Projects Fund ot $12 ,787.00 and the use of fund Is for the Off-Leash Dog Park water quality pond for $12,787.00 .
