She acknowledged that there arc a number of cities that offer people the opponunity to display thcir 111>rk . Council Member Hathaway staled that thcrc may be others interested in displa yi ng their scul ptures . She c.,plai ncd that the biggest problem at this time is thc vandalism in that area . Mr. Milan stated be is selling his home, and a RIIIOr inquiring about the property was told by the City that be was dcllcien l in the repair of the pn,pcrty. Mr. Milam stated this was the first time he became aware of the situation and when be called the City be was !old the information is pu blic reco rd. He vehemently objected IO the release of this information over the phone "to just anyone that calls." He reiterated thal be has never been notified and be 5llCSSCd his opposition lo the manner in which propc ny owners arc llhiscd of their potential liability. Mr. Milam feels the City has treated him ·wron g" and he asked that Council understand his position and waive his assessment. He also, suggested that th e City assess the provious propcny owner as he is the one that violaled the law, Cou nci l Member Hathaway advised that she is also in the proposed concrcle di st ri ct . He pointed out that , as pan or the negot iotions, the City has incurred additional cost for repainting some or the structures.
