Cou ncil Member Habenicht qucstionai whether the proposed amendment addresses th e co ncern brought up by some members of the Board or Adjustment and Appeals. as to whether the definiti on of garage should be amended to eliminate the r-..:(crcncc to storage of motor vehicle). fl.tr. Council Member Habenicht stated she understood some members of the Board of Adjustment and Appc.i ls indicated, because oflanguagc in the proposed ordinance, they would find it diffi cult or impossib le to gra nt some variances. Mr. Stitt stated he feel s the Board has the abilit y 10 grant a varinncc in situa1io ns where lhc applicant meets the appropriate criteria. Counc il Member Hathaway commented that the original question w;is what really constitu tes a gamge versus another type of accessory structure. In response to Council Member Habcnichl Mr. Stitt confirmed 1h.11 any existing structure in comp li :mcc \\ith the Code is not affected by these proposed regulations .
