Ord inance in an crron 10 l ·',C<." < ictal changes (lfld needs in the co mmunity for r::usc of educational and
re ligious insti tutions in the City of Englewood . The Commission held a public hearin g on this proposed
amendment on October 20, 1992 . He noted that . basically, the City of Englewood's child care n:gulations
ha"c not been changed since they "~re originally •dopted in 1983 . He pointed out that the proposed
amcndn,cnt requires a public hearing bclore the Pl annin c and Zoning Commission before reuse of the
i'aci liti es would be . ll owcd. Mr . Merkel advised that the amendment also expands the concept of
chil dcare to inc lud e dependent care, recognizing that there may be people oth er than children in our
co mmunity in need . Also , this amendment will allow the reuse of C.listin g cdh ational. religious, and
public facilities as a condi ti ona l use . He a~viscd that both staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission
reco mmend that Cou ncil support thi ~ amendment .

thnt the Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC) is assembling a PM 10 (the small particulate matter) ai r
qun lity control Slrategy in msponsc ID State and Fedeml Air Quality requirements. One of the strategics
the Regi onal Air Quality Council hns been working on is the reduction oflhc sand and dUSI from Slroct
