A resolution approving a consulting agreement with Andy Mccown wa s dis- cussed. City Attorney DeWitt explained that the resolution incorporates a co nsulting agreement which has been r eviewed by his office. The agre ement has been signed by Mr. Mccown and , if the reso 1 ut ion is approved by Counc i 1 , the agreement car be s igned by May or Van Dyke . Mr. Vargas exp l ai ned the financial impli cation s of the re solution, stating that he is r econvne ndi ng the acting pay be establi shed at SS,081 per month (S61,008 annu ally). The rationale being t hat the highe st paid depa r tment head receives S6 0 , 16 8 annua 11 y and t hat the compe nsatio n for the Act ing City Man - ager should be sl ight l y h i gh er t han t hat of t he departme nt he ad s . He st ated th at the cu r rent City Manag er salar y is $69,360 .
