WH EREAS, lhc Englewood Ci ty Counci l passed Ordinance No .19, Series of 1996 whi ch modified the Engle wood Municipa l Code in regard 10 di sc iplinary nnd meri 1 appeals: and WH EREAS, Ordinance No. 19, Series of 199 6 repea led th e duties of th e Englewood Caree r Serv ice Board and provided 1hr in manc rs of di sciplinary and merit appeals, the Cit)' Council wou ld appo int heui ing officers to hold heari ngs and make finding s and determin ati ons; and WH EREAS , the Englewood City Council passed Resolution No.47 , Series of 2002, estab li shi ng a li st of qualifi ed persons for appointment ns Hearing Offi ce rs for disciplinary and merit appeals for a period of one year with the rig ht 10 be reappoi nl cd by Council on an an=iual bas is; and WHEREAS , the pass age of this Resolution will provide a li st of perso ns fo r appointment us heari ng officers for a pe riod or one year wi th the right to be reappoint ed by Council on an annual basis; NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF ENG LEWOOD, COLORADO, THAT: ~-The City Coun cil or the City or Englewood, Colorado , hereby ap proves the following pe rso ns for appointment as hearing officers fo r disci plinary nnd merit appeal s by the Cit y or Englewood: Bennett S.
