Ragl and f ur ther s tated t here is evidence of the asphalt separating . Mr. Ragland ag re ed that additional core samp le s will be taken. Up on qu es tioning, Ms. Rag land di s covered there were t wo mor e core s amp ies, one showing 4 1/2 " with O ba se, and one 4" ,iith O base . HELrn HUSSA NDER , 2989 South Lincoln , agree d with hav ing the s idewalks rep a i red , but she doe s n't agree with an ass e ss ment for a public street, s tal i ng il would be a ha r dship on her to have t o pay for a public st r eet. She in qu ir ed lhe length of t i me ov er whi ch thi s as se s sment co u1d be paid for and she wa s informed 10 years. She protested th e reconstruction of her street. She furt her as ked concer ning curb s and gutter s, if the paving contractor damages the curb and gutter work s he has had in s tall ed by a private co ntrac tor, what would happen then . She was ass ured that if th e paving co ntrac tor damaged any work don e by th e private contractor, 1t would be repai red by th e paving contractor. Sh e was al so adv ised if the curb and gut t ers ne eded repairing , it would be necess ary to hav e it done. It wa s exp l ai ned by the Engin eer that as Denver has no sidewalk on th e north, therefore in the 600/700 blocks of Ea s t Ya l e Avenue the City propo sed to ins ta 11 a sidewalk i n the se bl ocks to accommoda te pedes trian s . An agreement was reached with City Council to redu ce th e sidewalk to 2' in stead of th e propo sed 4' width . Mr. Helm s tad felt that the propose d schedule for private concrete co ns truction provid ed loo short a not i ce .
