Mans fie ld wa s overlayed under the City 's r e gular maintenan ce program; however , con crete repairs are s till t he re s pon s ibility of the own ers. He brought to Cou nc il •~ attention the lack of traffic contro l on Clarkson; he would like to see s t op s i gns on Oxford, Tuft s and Layto n. As a r es ult of Mr. Gi es' comm e nt s, the City Manager wa s directed to hav e the Pol ice Ch ief supp l y patrol o f th e area during the hours of 7 to ~:3' a.m. and 3:30 to 5 p .m. She also expresse d her t un r e rn about th e hou se across the s treet from he r home in Cherry Hill s. She wou ld l ik e he l p from Englewood t o see that the property is cl ean ed up . Coun c il Member Higday asked the City Mana ger to l ook into the possibility of changing the truck tonnage wei ght from 8 -tons to 4-tons. He recomme nd ed having s top s ign s at Tufts, Qu i ncy, Oxford and Mansfield, po ss ibly a traffic lig ht at Tuft s. Mayo r Oti s stated he would present to Cherry Hill s Vill age th e de s ire s of Englewood c itizens for a bike trai l along Cl arkson. Abn e r Pain , 4891 South Clarkson , stated he wa s opposed t o th e Paving District . li e bro ught to Coun c il 's attention that in 196 8, Che nango (b etwe en Wa s hingt cn an d Clark son) wa s in a paving di s tri ct and his concrete will not drain. He wa s as s ured that the City will repair Chenango at no cost to Mr . Pain.
