Directo r Ragland, Engineering Services, presented testimony and ba c kground
informat ion concerning Paving District No . 31 and the assessments. The Paving
Distr i ct boundarie s are on Clark so n from US 285 t o Be llevi ew. She explained
t he rev i se d final assessment data whi c h included all costs re lative to the
paving dis trict. Total costs for the district were s tat ed as $666,4<.7.93 .
She r·••se nted the rev i se d schedule for comp l e tion of the di s trict, sl :in g
that tlonday, May 31, 1987 a t 5 :00 p.m. i s the de adline to receive a 5%
d i sco unt for full or partial payments. Th e assessment role will be certified
lo Arapahoe County on September I, 1987.

Co uncil Member Higda y explained th e bid from the contractor was
s ignificantly low er than the e s timat ed costs of the project thus
causing th e data sheet actual cost s t o be lower. Co uncil Member
Higday co nfi rmed that an ex plan ation would be pr ov ided at the time of
