Mayo r Otis, pre sidi ng, called the meeting to order.
The invocat ion was given by Coun cil Memb er Fitzpatrick, Mayor Otis led the pledge of allegiance .

which wou l d requir e employees t o notif y th e City o f Englewo o d o f any
part tim e work an employ ee i s enga g ed in. Mr. Juenemann stat ed the
provi sion was a violation o f right s a nd discouraged passa g e as
written .
Council engaged Mr . Juene mann in a le ngthly discussion con-
cerning h is comments .
City Manage r Mc cown expl a ined when Coun c il adopted the ad -
ministr ative proced ur e s which in cl uded o ut side employm e nt, the past
EEA pr esident , Jul i e Stark , asked Coun c il t o reex am in e th e provision
of outside employment. Mr. Mcco wn stated this council bill wa s the
p roduct of s~ecial c ommi tte e r ev i e w. Th ~ pr ovision was no t intend ed
to be an approva l procedure , it i s a not ice pro cedure to inform th e
City if an employee plans t o wo r k a par t tim e j ob. Mr. Mcco wn stated
it was imp o r tant to be put on notice in cas e t her e is a conflict of
interest o r working hou r s .

sideration. Th e proje~ts were improvement s to South Broadway , t he
interchange at Dartmouth and Sa nta Fe, the sheet ing on U.S. 285 i n
the vicinity of Sou~h Pe arl St re et , the U.S . 285 Itha ca Avenue co u p-
let, left-turn lanes at ent r ances to major devel o pments and at inter-
sections, and upgrading the intersection of U.S . 285 /South Un ive rsity
Boulevard to doubl e left-turns and free-flow right turn lanes .
