The City Council of the City of Engl~, Arapahoe County, Colorado, is hereby called to a special meeting at the City Hall, 3400 South Elati Street, to consider the following agenda: l. To consider an ordinance fixing the tax levy in mi.ls upcn each dollar of the assessed valuatioo of all taxable property within the City of Engl~, Colorado, for the year 1973. /s/ Stanley H. The Mayor asked for roll call. lJp<n the call of the roll, the following were Council Merrbers Senti, Scl"5ilab, Lay, Brown, Blessing. Absent: Council Menbers Henning, Dhority. ·1he Mayor declared a quorun present. Also present were: City Manager Dial Assistant City Manager McDivitt Director of Finance Nollenberger * * * * * City Manager Dial stated that a Bill for an Ordinance had been drawn up which enact the mil levy at 3.97 mi.ls, which is the same as in previous years. He stated that de- creasing the property tax mil levy also has the result of decreasing the City's receipts under Revenue Sharing and urxier the Specific Ownership Tax received fran the C.ounty. A decrease of one mil on the property tax TNOuld decrease total revenue of these other t:w itens by $12,000. Councilman Scl"5ilab inquired whether Revenue Sharing was tied into all other taxes or just in the property tax. City Manager Dial stated that it was tied into all taxes.
