Th• City Council of the City of Englewood, Arapahoe County, Colorado, i• hereby called to a apecial •••ting at the City Hall, 3400 South Elati Street, to consider the following agenda: (1) Bid• received for the conatruction of the Police-Fire Center and any appropriate action which the Council may wiah to take thereon. Dhority Hotice waa given to the following Councilman who was not in attendance: Councilman Kreiling Mayor Schwab, preaiding, called the meeting to order and aaked for roll call. Upon the call of the roll, the following were present: Councilmen Senti, Lentach, Lay, Dhority, Brown, Schwab. Abaent: Councilman Kreiling The Mayor declared a quorum preaent. Alao preaent were: City Manager Dial Aaaiatant City Manager McDivitt * * * * * Mayor Schwab explained that the purpoae of the meeting waa to diecuaa the poaaibility of awarding a contract for the Police-Fire Center. All bid• were reviewed at great length and the Council, he felt, had reached a deciaion. COUNCIIMAN DBORITY MOVBD, COUNCIIICAN LAY SECONDED, THAT THE LOW BIDDBR, PillKARD COBSTRUCTION catPAllY, BE AWARDED THE COlft'RACT FOR TBB POLICB-FIRB CBNTBR AT A BABB BID OP $1,000,000 WITH ALTBRRATES ADDED IM THE AMOUNT OF $70,317 FOR A TOTAL COllTRACT AMOUIJT OF $1,070,317, A)fl) THAT TBE MAYOR AlfD CITY CLERK BE AUTHORIZED TO SIGN TBB COllTRAC'l' DOCtMBIJTS. Diacuaaion followed with councilman Brown aaking if the amount over the original eatiaate would come from the Storm Sewer Project. City Manager Dial aaaured him that the neceaaary fund• were on hand from other aourcea and that the Storm Sewer Project would not be impaired. Upon the call of the roll, the vote reaulted aa follow•: Aye•: Councilmen Senti, Lentsch, Lay, Dhority, Brown, Schwab. Nays: None Abaent: Councilman Kreiling.
