COUNCIL CHAMBERS
CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO
JANUARY 3, 1966
REGULAR MEETING:
The City Council of the City of Englewood, Arapahoe County, Colorado, met in
regular session on Monday, January 3, 1966, in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
Englewood, at the hour of 8:00 P.M.

Mayor Love presiding called the meeting to order and the invocation was given
by the Reverend Alvin Zeilinger of the Grace Lutheran Church.
The Mayor asked for roll call. Upon the call of the roll, the following
persons were present:
Councilmen Allen, Fullerton, Hanson, Rice, Love.
Also Present: City Manager Dial,
City Attorney Criswell,
City Clerk Malone.
Absent: Councilmen Braun, Kreiling.
The Mayor declared a quorum present.
COUNCILMAN FULLERTON MOVED, COUNCILMAN HANSON SECONDED, THAT THE MINUTES OF
THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS OF DECEMBER 6TH AND 20TH, 1965, BE APPROVED AS CORRECTED.
Upon the call of the roll, the vote resulted as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Allen, Fullerton, Hanson, Rice, Love.
Nays: None.
Absent: Councilmen Braun, Kreiling.
The Mayor declared themotion carried.
The Mayor called attention to the newly instituted program of the City Council
whereby citizens throughout the conununity are invited to attend Council meetings.
The Mayor recognized the following "Special Citizens": Mr. J. P. McFaddin, 4910
South Inca Street: and Mr. D. S. Karr, 3190 South High Street.
COUNCILMAN RICE MOVED, COUNCILMAN HANSON SECONDED, THAT THE BILLS, CLAIMS AND
INVOICES AS PRESENTED BY THE CITY CLERK AND APPROVED BY THE CITY MANAGER BE ALLOWED.
Upon the call of the roll, the vote resulted as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Allen, Fullerton, Hanson, Rice, Love.
Nays: None.
Absent: Councilmen Braun, Kreiling.
The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Mayor Love expressed his appreciation to fellow ctAincilmen, to the administra-
tive staff and to the citizens of Englewood for cooperation during his two years as
Mayor, from January 1, 1964 to January 1, 1966. He stated that there was a feeling
of personal sadness in his going off of the Council. Various councilmen expressed
their appreciation for Mayor Love's untiring efforts and indicated that he would be
greatly missed as a member of the City governing body. The City Manager related the
fintt job which Mayor Love has been doing in providing guidance and assistance to the
administrative staff and recognized the extensive number of hours that the Mayor had
expended during his tenure.
Mr. Carl Perry, President of the Englewood Chamber of Conqperce, along with num-
erous members of the Amigos Club of the Englewood Chamber appeared before the Council
to express gratitude and appreciation to theEnglewood City Council and specifically
to Mayor Love for the cooperation and continuing support which the City Council has
provided the Chamber. Mr. Perry also expressed confidence in the new Mayor and
Council and invited them to call upon the Englewood Chamber of Conunerce at any time
that the Chamber could be of assistance.
The City Clerk read the minutes of the regular meeting of January 3, 1966.
COUNCILMAN RICE MOVED, COUNCILMAN HANSON SECONDED, THAT THE MINUTES OF THIS
MEETING BE APPROVED. Upon the call of the roll, the vote resulted as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Allen, Fullerton, Hanson, Rice, Love.
Nays: None.
Absent: Councilmen Braun, Kreiling.
The Mayor declared the motion carried.

COUNCILMAN FULLERTON MOVED, COUNCILMAN HANSON SECONDED, THAT THIS COUNCIL
ADJOURN SINE DIE. Upon the call of the roll, the vote resulted as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Allen, Fullerton, Hanson, Rice, Love.
Nays: None.
Absent: councilmen Braun, Kreiling.
The Mayor declared the meeting adjourned sine die.
