The following Notice of Call was read by the City Clerk: August 28, 1967 NOTICE OF CALL BY TH!! MAYOR FOR SPECIAL SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL MONDAY, AUGUST 28, 1967 -8100 P.M. Call for a special meeting in the City Council Chambers to consider the enclosure of Little Dry Creek at and in the vicinity of South Bannock Street, including, but not limited to, the consideration of an ordinance authorizing a contract related thereto. /s/ Stanley H. DIAL City Manager SHD/pb ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RECEIPT OF NOTICE The following persons, all Councilmen of the City of Englewood, Colorado, do hereby acknowledge receipt of notice of the above special session: /s/ Geo. H. Allen /s/ Donald G. Fullerton /s/ wm. B. Hanson /s/ John c. Kreiling /s/ Tymer Rice /s/ Louis Parkinson /s/ Ray Ludwig The Mayor asked for roll call. Upon the call of the roll, the following persons were presents Allen. Councilmen Fullerton, Hanson, Kreiling, Ludwig, Parkinson, Rice, Also Present: City Manager Dial Absent: None Assistant City Manager Mack City Attorney Criswell City Clerk Lyon The Mayor declared a quorum present. City Manager Dial reported to Council that the Little Dry Creek north retaining wall immediately east of Bannock Street had partially collapsed the morning of August 28, 1967. Mr. Dial and Mr. Sagrillo, Assistant City Engineer, described the present state of the wall and the measures taken to protect the Chamber of Commerce building from damage. It was reported that the primary cause of the collapse was the erosion beneath the retaining wall. Discussion ensued. Introduced by Councilman Fullerton, BY AUTHORITY ORDINANCE NO '. 21, SERIES OF 196 7 q % 10. Minutes of August 28, 1967 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A NEGOTIATED CONTRACT WITH PENNER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF A BRIDGE OVER LITTLE DRY CREEK AT SOUTH BANNOCK STREET NEAR WEST GIRARD AVENUE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. COUNCILMAN FULLERTON MOVED, COUNCILMAN HANSON SECONDED, THAT ORDINANCE NO. 21, SERIES OF 1967, BE PASSED ON SECOND AND FINAL READING AND ORDERED PUBLISHED IN FULL IN THE ENGLEWOOD HERALD AND ENTERPRISE. Upon call of the roll, the vote resulted as follows1 Ayes: Councilmen Fullerton, Hanson, Kreiling, Ludwig, Parkin- son, Rice, Allen Nays: None Absent: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. COUNCILMAN RICE MOVED, COUNCILMAN HANSON SECONDED, THAT THE MEETING BE ADJOURNED. Upon the call of the roll, the vote resulted as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Fullerton, Hanson, Kreiling, Ludwig, Rice, Parkinson, Allen Nays: None Absent: None The Mayor declared the meeting adjourned at 8135 P.M.
