J1a7or J.E.Abbott called the ROLD CALL: meeting to order and asked for roll call. Cullison Abaent, UoCord Present, 5 Present, Hall Present, Nielsen Present, Absent 1. John Present, Pearce Present, Alder11an UcCord introduced the following resolution which was read in full b7 the Clerk. RESOLUTION WHIR&AS, The City council of the City of Englewood, Colorado, has deemed it neoeaaary to create an improvement district to be l:nown aa South Broadw~ Paving Diatrict Number 4, Englewood, Colorado, as set fourth in the resolution paaaed b7 the Cit7 Council at an adjourn regular meeting, held April 23rd, 1928, and WHEHEAS, The City Engineer has presented to the Council map of said district together with plans and specifications and full details for all work necessary in widening said Street, Constructing pavement, curbs and other incidentals and giving his estimate as to tho local cost thereof, which ~aps, plans and specifi- cations and estimates of cost have been approved by the City Council. llOW 'l'Him~?uHH: BS I~ i\~::3ULVED BY ~m~ CITY C0UllCIL Ob, THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLOaADO: 1. That South Broadway Paving District !lumber 4, Englewaod, Colorado, be created as an improvement district in accordance with Chapter 180 of the Session Laws of Colorado for the year 1923. 2. That the ~ape, plans and specifications and estimate of aoet of said improvements as made by the City Engineer, are hereby approved and adopted for said improvement district, said estimate, maps, plans and apeoificatione are on file with the City Clerk of said City and are hereby referred to and made a part of this resolution. 3. That said improvement shall consist of the widening of South Broadw~ six (6) feet on either side with the construction of the necessary concrete pavement six (6) inches thick and concrete curbs, together with the necessal'1 incidentals, such as remodeling catch basins and tho repair of sidewalks destro7ed in the course of the work ~nd other incidentals. 4. That the cost of said improvements shall be payable in twenty (20) annual installments; that the first of said installraents shall become due and payable at the time to be decided upon after the completing of said widening of said street bJ the final assessing lrdinBnoe, one (1) installment to be due each year thereafter until said cost shall be fully paid. All the cost of said improvements shall be due and payable within thirty (30) days after final passage of the assessing ordinance. 5. ':hat the unpaid principal of said cost and aaaessr4ents shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annur.a and any and all installments not paid when due shall bear interest at the rate of one per cent (l~) per month or fractional part thereof until paid. 6. That the said City :~ngineer be and he is hereby instructed to prepare a ecedale showing the approxiraate amounts to be assessed on the several lots and parcels of property within the district. 7. That the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized and instructed to give notice to the owners of the property to be assessed by advertisement onee a week for three ( 3) Ci.>nsecative we13ka in thn ~nglewood Herald and Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation, pablished in the City of Englewood, whioh notioe shall contain the following: 1. The kind of improvement proposed: 2. Humber of installments: 3. The time in which tha coat will be payable; 4, ~he rate of interest to be paid on unpaid or deferred installments; 6. '~he princi1)al cost per front foot as shown bJ the estimates of the City ~ineer; 6. The extent of the district tt be 4mprovedi 7. The time not leas than twenty (20) d~vs after first publication, when an ordinance authorizing tho improvenents will be considered; 8. That the map, estimate and schedule showing the approximate amounts to be assessed, and all resolutions and proceedings are on file and can be seen and axarained by any person interested at the office of the City Clerk at any time within said period of twenty (20) days. 9. l'hat all complaints and ob.1ections thtt.t may be made in writing concerning the proposed improver:ients by the owner or owners of any real estate to be assessed, will be heard and deteroined by the ordering aathority before final action thereon.
