Cullison Present, l.1oCord Absent, Hall Present, lUelsen Eres ent, John Present, Pee.rce Present, 5 ~resent, Absent l. iU~~OLUTIOll Wlfr!ii~S, The City Treasurer, D.11.West, was heretofore .on, to-wit; The 16th d~ of July, A.D.,1~28, authorized by th e City Council of the City of Englewood, by resolution duly passed on that date to pay the City lmgineer, Glen A.Isett, the sum of one hWldred o.nd no/100 ($100.00) dollars out of the moneys in hie hands to the cred of the Public Improvement Fund and to charge said amount ·to South BroadWfl1' Paving District Number 4, on nccount of Engineer'& fees and to re-emburee said fWld for moneys thereafter receiveu, to the oredit of said Dietriot from the sale of bonds for the purpose of paying engineering, olerioal and other incidental expenses in connection therewith, and WHBBBAS, The City Treasurer has now in his posession funds and moneys from the sale of bonds for the purpose of paying engineering, clerical and other incidental expenses in connection therewith to the credit of South Broadway Paving District Nwaber 4, sufficient to re-emburse said Public Ir.lp~ovement Pund for the amounts cha~ged thereto as herein stated. Alderman ~earce introduced the following resolution iU~80LU'~ I Oll .. lilAI, ~e City Council of the City and County of Denver on or about the 29th day of June, A.D.,1~26, duly passed an ordinance granting consent of the said City and County of Denver to the annexation to it of the City of Englewood in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, in which case made and provided, and \niEliEAS, two elections have been held in the City of Englewood, Colorado, since that time on the question of the dissolution of the City of Inglewood and its annexation to the City and County of Denver, the first of which eleotton was declared illegal by the County Court of Arapahoe County and the second election resulted in a majority of seven votes against annexation and that certain parties in the City of Englewood, Colorado, are again seeking to have said question presented to the people at a special election, and WHEREAS, it appears from said election that the people of the said Cit7 of Kngle- wood are about equally di •v ided upon said question and by keeping the same before the people there is continual unrest among the people of lh~l Oit7 . of Englewood, that propert7 in the City of Englewood haa depreciated in value in the past two years, d~e to the fact of the uncertainty of the future statue of said property with the question of mme~iton D•ina rataea •~ ewe&¥ oppertunity, and WH:Ea3AS,this Council believes that it is the wish of the majorit1 of the people of the City of 3nglewood that this question should not be continually raised and further in order to uvoid a great amount of litigation, which naturall7 follows the raising of this question. Colorado, do hereby re ·1 ueat that the City Council of the City and County of Denver, Colorado, repeal said ordinance conBenting to the w1nexation of the City of Englewood to the City and County of Denver.
