BRBERT APPEARED RELATIRO TO P.AYMERT FOR GRAVEL Mr. Robert Erbert, 3955 South Galapago, contractor, stated that about a year ago he had purchaaed tiTe aite• on South Galapago. He had aaked the City Engineer to grade and gravel the atreet in 1958 so that be could show hi• newl7 con1tructed homes. He stated that the City Engineer had promised to proTide the gravel and grading. When the City Engineer did not proTide tbe gravel and after repeated request• that thia be done, Mr. Brbert purchased the graTel hiaaelt and graTeled the atreet and alley both. He asked that he be i-.1.Jlburaed tor the coat or this graTel. The Cit7 Manager replied that he had receiYed a letter from Mr. Fosnea, an attorner on behalf or Mr. Brbert relating to this matter and that on D9cellber 2lat the Council considered the request and denied it. Mr. El'bel't reaftlr11ed that promise• and conmitment1 had been made to him for the graTeling of the street and alley. The CitJ Manager atated that be had inquired ot the CitJ Engineer in thia matter and the Engineer attil'll8d that be had not •ade such a 1tatement aa it was contrar,. to Council polic1. He auggeated that Mr. Erbert •et with the CitJ Manager to review the need tor paving in that area. Mr. Erbert aaked about improvement or the alley. The Cit7 Manager stated that onl7 an 8 toot atrip had been dedicated with an 8 toot eaae .. nt in addition. Unl••• turtber dedication waa provided the City could not undertake to eatabliah or maintain that alley in that area. There was no further action on the matter. MR. RICHARD GRE!ll APPEARED RELATING TO SALE OF BUSSARD BUS LIKE Mr. Richard D. Greene, Attorney, appeared betore the City Council on behalt ot the new owner• ot th• Busaard Bua Line. He discussed the circumatancea leading to th• purchaae or the Bua Line by a new corporation called the Suburban Transit Compan7. He aaked the Council to indicate its favor or disfavor ot the aale so that a temporarf' PUC pel'lllit may be secured. A hearing on this application will be conducted on Pebrum-y 25th. The City Manager dlacuaaed Ordinance No. 12, Series ot 1952 which provided a tranchi•• tor the Buaaard Bua Compan7. Mr. Jones reported that a recent amendmnt to the Zoning Ord.inane• requires that a public hearing be conducted by the Planning Commission prior to any sonlng changes and that the Planning Co111111ission would publish notice ot said bearing and hold this hearing at its next :regular meeting on March 10th. Pritzainger which would reaove the off-street parking provisions required by the City ot Englewood. The City Attorney reported that a group of landlord• have organized with the purpoae ot challenging the :rental license provision ot tti. Buaineaa and Occupational Tax aa being anconatitutional.
