re~ol~tio1 1 ~)proving the bid and Hmended prvpuoals of the Monroe Electric
Compan1 to construct en Englev:Jod !Aunicipal Weter Systero at 1 ts regul·ar
adjourned meetin~ held ~arch 20, 19~5. end.
WHERBA~ a queation hos erl~en in the ~indb of ~ome engineers for the
prospective purchasers of the revenue honds, concerning th~ net revenue
ot the proposed ~unicipal Water Plant, and,
WHEREA~ it iB the wish of the City Council to cooperate in every way
with the contrau~ors, the Lund house and the hondholders when the bonda
are sold, to the end that the interest be paid promptly and the bonde retired
as rapidly aa po~dible,

tlon of ~maller en~ines (460 H.P.) for se11 plant, thereby reducing the orig-
inal cost of the plant an6 the sum on which lntere~t must be paid from the
revenue, and,
That when the plant ls installed, the :ity Council will institute and en-
force regulaiiJua re~tricting the use of water for irrigation during periods
of high domestic demand and therehy 1ceep the peak demand at a minimum, and
BE IT FUriTHE.~ RESOLVED that the Cit~ Council ~et up a hudget of operat-
ing exper.e-:ls for the said VJeter Department end permit no V~·riation therefrom,
e~cept in the event of, and in proportion to. increased revenues; and,

tributlon ystem maintenance cost for this department by contracting with the
Department of Public Wor ~s f~r thi8 maintenance Hnd paying them a flat rate
of eighteen hundred dollar~ ((1800.00) per ye~r therefor; aud,
~R IT FURT~3 3E~OLVED that all water used by the City of Englewood, for
fire hydrants or other~lse, &bell be paid for at the same r~te that the City
is now paying to the nenver Weter 9o~r~. and such rate shn11 continue in eff-
ect until the reven~e bonds are completely retired.
