VHER EAS t he time has come to prepare the annual budget for the coming
year, and
WHEREAS the City Council desires to prepare a budget which will be ad-
equate to provide for the cu rent n e eds of the City and will not leave a
deficit to pile up as it has in the past, and
~HEREAS the City Council wishes to eng l ge competent persons to prepare
the budget,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the firm of Ernst & Ernst be engaged to
prepare the budget for the coming year at a fee of not to exceed One Hun-
dred Dollars ($1 00.00).

RESOLUTION

v; lEREAS Lots 45 to 48, Block 19, South Broadway Heights, are delinquent
in the payment of special taxes for the past several years, and
WHEREAS the owner thereof has offered to pay the amount of said delin-
q uent installments together with six percent (6%) interest on the same, ·
and
~nereas he City Council believes it to be for the best interest of the
City to accept suc h offer,
NOW, TflEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County ~reasurer of Arapahoe Co.
be, and he is hereby authorized to accept as payment in full the said amoun~.

A group of local business men, particularly from the ranks of the Filling
Station and Garage men, appeared before t h e Council and expressed dissent at
t h e payment of their res p ective licenses, stating that they were too high;
and asked that these licenses be abolished, or at least reduced in amount.
The matter was r e ferred t o the CoUL1cil License Commi t t e e to work in con-
junction ~ i th an app inted cumILi t t e e of t l1e business men.
Dr. H.II. Alldredge spoke on the enfor c e me nt of the ord inonce relating to
compulsory sewer conne ctions, and also on the forthcoming inspection of Milk
Dairies prior to the issua nce of 1936 Milk Vendor's Licenses.
Fire Chief v·oods spoke on t h e possibility of .. movin0 the City Dump to an-
other location, pref e rably outside the City li~its.
There being no further business to come b ef' re the Council, Council adjourned
ilntil October 28, 1935.
