No definite action waa taken at this time. Mra. Wictum appeared before the putting Lincoln St. through. Council regarding the poaalbiltty ot l Th e aatter was referred to the Council'• Street and report back their findings. Committee to inveati1ate ~r. George Ballard presented to the Council the matter ot switching Bann- ook st. as a •Through• Street to Bates Avenue as a •Through Street• to acc- oaodate the employees ot the General Iron Works. No definite action was taken by the Council., but Ch1et ot Police Boyer was directed to contact Ir. Gordon ot the Iron Work• concern in an effort to work out: satiatactory plans .in handling th1a traffic problem. City Attorney Davies reported on what constitutes a Peddler, aa applicable to the Ha ppy Home Bread co. Trucks, on a previoualy as•••••d 11cenae tee ot f25 .00 a truck. Caaea were cited showing that such a fee was not dlacrlalnatory nor exceaa- ive· and that it was the opinion of the C~uncil that the 11cenaa tee ot 125.00 wouid stand. The Clerk so notified the Ha ppy Home Bakers. Chief ot Police Boyer brought up the m&tter of Used Car Lota, but no defin- ite action was taken by the Council. In the matter of Fireworks, the Council were of the opinion that anyone other than local established merchants were T.rAnaient Merc hant~ and the lic- enae tee tor such type of merchant would apply; there being no 11cenae nec- eaaary tor local merchant• handling the sale of tireworka. The Cl ty Council voted unanimously to allow .Chi .et . Boyer $10.00 tor a convention registration tee. Alderman Dunning Jenkins before the Council, ROLt.
