ROLL CALL: Jenkins Present Dunning Present Coombs Absent Walker Present 4 Present 2 Absent Dolezal Absent Weigand Present RESOl UTIONS 'il EREAS the following described property, to-wit· ' lots 25 to 28, and 37 to 40; Block 5; Strayer'~Addition; Jots 7 to 10; Block 13; Jackson's Bdwy. Heights; lots 20 to 21; lock 6; Skerritts Add. 3rd Filing; Lots Si of 14, 15 to 19 inc.;and Nt of 20; Block l; Resub of Bi~a 2 & 3; Killies Subdivision; are delinquent in the 1 paymeft and ~I . ·., , ,. t fc special taxes over a period of several years, IH EREAS the owners thereof, W.L. Forry, Capital Federal Savings & Loan, & L.E. Wilson,~have offered to pay the amount of the delinquent assessments, plus interest at the rate of six percent (~); and the Council believes it to be to the b e st interests of the City to accept such offer; NOW THEREF ORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the County Treasurer of Arapahoe be and he is hereby authorized to accept as payment in full the amount of the said de- linquent installments, together with interest on the same at the rate of six p ercent (6fo) per annum; and to issue a receipt in full therefor. Courtwright and William Giggall, Arapahoe Coun ty ~om.n issioners met with the fbuncil, requesting the completion of t h e auditorium in the City Hall, so that it might be used tor the seerage of co m. odities for distribution among the needy residents of the county. Th e com missioners stated that the present storage space was inadequate and that an ultimatum had been given by the State Director, Mr. Tidwell, that facilities must be obtained for the storage of as high as 2 carload lots at one time. The commissioners offered to have this work done by advancing money in the amount of some $1200.00 as rent and to have a WPA Project sponsored, the definite amount to be ascertained by a WPA estimate. This rental figure was to cover a period of two years use of the finished building. The City Council agreed to this and proceeded to obtain a WPA estimate, and go ahead with the work. Alderman Jenkins moved,) Walker seconded,) that there being no further business to come before the Council, Council adjourn until August 8th, 1938.
