Brownewell took his seat with the Council. • • • • • • • C~ty Clerk read a letter fro• the Sertoma Club asking cancellation of a Lease Asree .. nt dated August 1, 1956, by and between the City of En1lewood and the Bn1lewood Serto .. Club to permit the Sertoma Club to operate a children's aerry-10-round on City property in City Park. They stated that the project had consistently lcst money and that they wished to abandon the project. Ernie Wilson and Mr. Harold Rust of Colorado Central Power Company stated that in the acree11ent with the City of Englewood for the purchase of the Don ·Johns' property at Lincoln Street and Hampden Avenue, they would like to incorporate into the a,reeaent that the City would be responsible for the filling and bringing to ,rade that portion of the property purchased for street purpose. Council agreed to the above. • • • • • • • The following resolution was presented and read: RESOLUTION WllBRBAS, Ordinance No. 10, Series of 1957, establishing assessments for the var- ious properties within Paving District No. 6, includes an assessment of $324.21 against Lots 20, 21, 22, and 23, Block 23, Jackson Broadway Heights, in the City of Englewood; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the completion of the assessment rolls, a part of the des- cribed property was sold and transferred; and WllBRBAS, the purchaser wishes a breakdown of the assessment of the parcel which was transferred; ROW, TRBRBFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the original assessment acainst Lots 30, 21, 22, and 23, Block 23, Jackson Broadway Heights, in the amount of $324.21, be stricken froa the assessment rolls for Paving District No. 6, and that the following asseas11ents be entered therein, and in lieu of the original assessment. Rapp. • • • • • • • Adainistrative Assistant, Joe Lacy, presented the various phases of a proposal to set procedures and to handle Paving District No. 7 Bonds, made jointly by Bo11Worth, Sullivan and Coapany and Garrett-Bromfield and Company, in which they agree to purchase the bondll at an interest rate not to exceed 4-3/4%; and suggested acceptance by the City.
