Mayor Nielsen called the meeting to order and asked tor Roll Call. ROLL CAlL: Coombs, Present Koger, Present 5 Fidler, Present Vogel, Present Present I Absent Jenkins, Absent Weigand, Present A petition signed by 473 persons, requesting the City Council to call a Special Election for Local Option, against alcoholic beverages, was read. A check made by the City Clerk showed that eleven (11) names on the above petition were registered and two (2) names were residence outside the City limits. A petition signed by 616 persons, requesting the City Council to po81Done the election tor local option on the sale it intoxicating liquor in ·the City ot Englewood, until the next general election ot the City ot Englewood, A check made by the City Clerk showed that twenty-one (21) names on the above petition were registered and one hundred and aix (106) names were residence outside ot the City. Alderman Coombs, Moved ) Vogel, Seconded) that the above petitions be tabled on account of insufficient number of registered voters. ROll CA11: Coombs, Aye Koger, Aye 5 Ayes Fidler, Aye Vogel, Aye O Nays 1 Absent RESOLUTION Jenkins, Absent Weigand, Aye WHEREAS, the following described property, Lots 5 & 6, Block 15, Jacksons Broadw ay Heights, are delinquent in the payment of special taxes over a period pt years and Whereas the owner Lawrence c. Holloway, has ottered to pay the amount of the said delinquent installments as represented by Tax Sale Certificates #~3001 to 33003 inclasive, together with interest on the same at the rate ot aix percent(&;:); and the Council believes it to be in the beat interests ot the City to accept such offer; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Treasurer be authorized to accept as payment in full the face amount ot the Tax Certificates #33001 to 33003 inclusive, together with interest at the rate or six percent (eJ!): and to assign the certificates to the said owner.
