ot the Council to met with the Library Board, and hl ayor Coombs appointed
Alderman Ko g er, Fidler and Jenkins.
Clerk read a lett e r from Harry W. Kleine in regard to an accident to Harry
Kleine Jr. January 5th, 1944, at the City Dump. Mayor Coombs referred the
letter to the City Attorney.
Clerk read a Petition headed: "We the undersigned, elegible Englewood
voters petition the ~ayor and City Council ot Englewood to call a special
election tor local o ption, prohibiting the sale of all a}coholic beverages,
as prescribed in the State Statutes, Chap. 89, Sec. 43.

WHEREAS, the following described property, lots 11 & 12, Block ~.
South Broadway Hei ghts, are delinquent in the payment or special taxes over
a period ot years and
WHEREAS the owner ?.!ax Ivey, has otf ered to pay the amount or the said
delinquent installments as represented by Tax Sale Certificate #33948, inclusive
to g ether with i n terest an the same at the rate or six percent (a,!); and the
Council believe it to be in the best interests of the City to accept such offer:
NOW THEREF ORE BE IT RES OL VED: That t h e City Treasurer be authorized to
accept as payment in full the face amount of the Tax Sale Certificate 633948,
tog ether with interest at the rate of six percent (&J:); and to assign the
certiticate to t h e said owner.
