OF ENGIEWOOD, COLOOADO, HELD FRIDAY THE 21th DAY
OF OCTCl3ER 1955 at 8100 P.M.
Mayor Weigand called the meeting to order and asked for Roll Calle
PRESENT1 Bodan, Parker, Purcell, Rapp, Robohm, Weigand and Wright
ABSmT1 Cushing and McCabe.
Hea.rinc waa held tor the rezoning of the City of Englewood.
Mr. George Perrin with eight property owners from the vicinity ot 2900 Block So. Elati and
So. Fm Streeta, asked that the M-1 zone be changed from the proposed So. Blati and So. P'ox
alley to the Galapago and So. ''ox alley.
The Council seemed favorable.
NOYall Pierce, 3200 So. Acoma, wanted the property owned by him and adjacent to Millers Store
1oned for Apartment house, Council recommend it be left as is for the present time.
Mr. Paul Saville, 2900 Block So. Shannan stated he would like to see his section remin as
A-1.
Attorney Robinson, representing clients who wwn property in the )$00 Block on So. Grant,
So. Sheru.n and So• Logan are objecting to the property change in zoning from C-2 to C-1,
the area beine North of and adjacent to So. Jefferson Ave.

Parker, Seconded) The area remain as shown on the proposed map as c-1.

John Holbere stated the proposed District M-1 would cut his greenhouse in halt and would
prohibit the building of three greenhouses on the remainder or the lots• This t block is
owned .,d in use b;y Mr. Holberg.

Wright, Seconded) That the i Block above mentioned be placed in
M-1.

Attornq Shivers, representing the Abbott Lumber Company and the Englewood Lumber Compaey,
stated under the propued rezonine the Lumber Companies would be required to mOYe to an M-2
sane within 20 years~ They will agree tot he above if they would be able to rebuild within
a lS year period if destroyed.
Councilman Bodan 1 Moved)
Wright, Seconded) To insert a clause in the zoning ordinaix:e to protect
them for a period of 15 years.

Bodan, Seconded) To change the zoning North from Dartmouth Ave. to
Yale Ave. to R-J,West side of So. Lincoln to alley, Ea.st side of ->o. Acoma to alley and Uter

Councilmn Wright moved to have his motion withdrawn.
It was stated that the Chamber of Commerce would llce to receive $100.00 from the City tor Chri.t•s
decorating and needed it imaediately.
Council stated it could be handled by the llanager.
