statutes of theState of Colorado, to make t h e annual tax tevy for city purposes for the
year 1955 due and pa yable in 1956, and
WiEREAS, it is necessary for an additional special levy to pay interest on water bonds hereto-
fore issues as a general obligation of the City of En glewood, Colorado.

due and payable as required by statute in the year A.D. 19.56, for said purposes, a tax of 9.00

of t he costs of the wor ks, the preparation of the rep ort covering these subjects; the preparing
of detailed plans and specifications for the first phase of the ~reject after the final selection
of capacities h ave been deterrdned, making of estima tes of costs of construction and of estimates
of costs based upon t l e detailed p lans; and assisti n g the City in calling for bids for
construction and the awarding of contract and contracts, if the City so elects, theEngineering
firm will layout and supervise c c nstruction.

Mr Rudd, City Manager, in making a brief report on the progress of the recanpilation of Engle•
wood City Urdinanoes, stated tha t seve ral firms have b een contacted for the procedure ot
making photostatic copies of ordinances 1 and showed samples of their work. Mr Rudd also
pointed out thRt there wou ld be microfilm records made for additional safety of preservation.
The cos t of the operation n ot being excessive, Mr. Rudd recanmended that work proceed.

Mr. Rudd, City Manager, presented detailed engineering studies and gave a report on the
eaiillated costs of thre e sepa rate Drojects considered nece s sary to bring relief to sanitary
severs in the North part o f t h e City to meet overload and to remedy basement fiodding. Mr. Ru'-' stated that consideration of f i nancing such projects had been given in the 1956 budget.
