Corona and Downing and Hampden and Jetf er son Avenues ( Extension 34) was completed.
Recommended that the Contractor, Mann Construction Company, be paid the final
estimate o! $1,892.20.

(b) The Electrical Inspector shall inspect all wiring and connections to
the •chine• determine if the same complies with the Electrical Code of the City
of l;nglewood• and shall either approve or disapprove the application.
(c) No license shall be issued to any applicatnt unless approved by the
Chief of Police and the Electrical Inspector. ·
Section 61 LICmSE FEES 1 Every 11pplicant. befo1 ·e being granted a license shall
pq the following annual license tee for the privilege of operating or maintaining
for operation each juke box or mechanical amusement device as defined in Section 1
herein.

All licenses granted hereunder shall expire at the end of each Calender Year.
Section 71 DISPLAY OF LICENSEa
(a) The license or licenses herein provided for shall be posted permanently
and conspicuously at the location or the machine in the premises wherein the device
is to be operated or maintained to be operated.
(b) Such lice nae may be transferred from one machine or device to another
siJllilar machine upon applica tion to the City Clerk to such effect and the giving
of a dwscription and the serial number of the new machine or device. Not more
than one machine shall be operated under one license and the app11cant or
licensee shall be required to secure a license for each and every machine displayed
or operated by him.
(c) I! the licensee shall move his place of business to another location
within the City of F.rtelewood, the license may be transferred to such . new location
upon application to the City Clerk, giving the street and number of new location.
The new location shall be approved by the Chief of Police and the City Electrical.
Inspector in the same manner as provided in Section 5 of this ordinance.
Section 81 PROHmITIONS AND REST RICTIONS.
(a) No person, tira• corporation or association holding a license under
this ordinance shall permit the playing of juke boxes. as defined in Section l•
between the hours of 2 o'clock A. M. and 6 o'clock A. M. of any day.
Section 91 REVOCATION OF LIC~SE1
(a) Every license issued under this ordinance is subject to the right,
which is hereby expressly reserved, to revoke the same should the licensee,
directly or indirectly. permit the operation of any juke box or mechanical
amuseJEnt device contr&1'7 to the provisions of this ordinance, the ordinances
of the City of &lg ~ewood• or the law of the State of Colorado. Said license may
br revoked by the City Council after written.notice to the licensee, which notice
.,_,, specify the ordinance or law violations with Viich the licnessee is charged•
it after hearing• the licensee is found to be guilty of such violations. Ten days
notice of the hearing shall be given the licensee. At such hearing the licensee
and Ilia attorney may present and submit evidence of witnesses in his defense.
Section 10. SEIZURE AND DESTRUCTION OF MACHINE. If the Chief of Police shall
have reason to believe any mechanical amusement device is used as a gambling
device, such rnachine may be seized by the police and impouned md it upon trial
of the exhibitor for 8.l.lowing it to be uaed as a gambling device ~aid exhibitor
be found guilty, such machine shall be destroyed by the police.
Section ll1 PEJIALTY. Any per son. firm, corporation violating any of the proYisions
ot th!S ordinance, in addition to the revocation of his or its license. shall be
liable to a fine or penalty ot not less than $J.OO nor more than I 300.00 for each
offense.
Section 121 SEPARABILITY OF PROV'ISIOOS. It is the intention of the City Council
that each separate provision of this or dinance shall be deemed independent of all
proYisions herein• and it is further the intention of the City Council that it m7

Section 14: The City Council hereby finda• detennines and declares that this

safety and convenience.
Section 1.51 In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exist&J therefore,
th18 ord1fuiiice shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passage
and publication.

Mi-. Holland, who lives just south and adjoining the sewer plant stated he was
getting an odor from the ~lant a nd the con densational at night was pretty bad.
He also stated he owned 4~ acres and had invested approximately $1500.00 and stated
he was willing to sell it to the City at that price.
Mayor Weigand asked the City Attorney to meet with Mr. Holland to try-and purchase
the property !or future expansion.
Mr. Bussard came before the Council requestine permission to discontinue Sunday
and Holidq busses an d some buses a t nii.;ht on certain routes, stating he was
filing with the PUC for change effective November 27 1 1954.
Council stated they would like to think this aver and would bring it up at their
next meeting.

storage an 1 after discussion it was decided to wait until the Water Board met and
