Councilman Jami eson , Robohm and Pa rker entered a nd we re seated with the Cotmcil.
Colmcilman Cushing was e xcused at this time.
Mr . Dal e Holben, City Auditor sta ted he had be en requested by several tax-payers
to appear before the Council to give a r esume of the financial condition ot the
city due to the exce llent handling of the Citys ' affairs by City Manager, J. W.
Flint.
Mr. R. F. Frants, Mr. Jack nobbins and Mr. Elmer W. Scot t, also spoke briefly
commending Mr. Flint on the work he had done .
Cl e rk read application for the renewal of restaurant liquor license by Mr. Godfrey
C. Franc, dba Paus and Eat , 1001 E. Hampden.
Attorney Richar d H. Simon stated the building wh ich was destroyed by an explosion
on February 17, 1954 , had not be en re bu ilt at this time, but would bt. built
immediately a s plans were drawn m d could be finished sometime in February.
City Attorney Wm Bodan read several articles from the Liquor Code regarding licensing.
Mr. Summers presented a petition c ontaining 41 sit natur e s against the renewal of
the license, and after discussion.

The entire purchase price for the above described real property, to be paid
if this option is exercised, is $J2,9So.oo, to be paid inc ash on the date
of transfer of title which is to be on or before January 15, 1955, Taxes
for the year 1954 will be paid by the sellers.
A good and sufficient warranty deed will be delivered within sixty days con-
veying the said real estate to the said City of ~lewood free and clear of
all liens and encumbrances except the 1954 taxes and except for the 1954
installment of the Moffact Tunnel Improvement District Assessment, provided
payment is made as above set forth and at the time of delivery of the said
warranty de ed.
This option is granted in consideration of the bonafide effort made by the
City of Englewood to acquire the title to the above described realty by
voluntary purchase instead of by condemnation.
This option shall expire at midnight on the 24th day of November, 19.54.

The entire price to be paid by the City of Eng lewood for said premises is Eleven
Thousand ($11 ,000 .00) Dolla rs, of which the aJOO unt receipted for herein is a part
and the balance is to be paid in cash on or before December 20 1 1954.
It is mutually understood a rrl a creed that the sellers will deliver to the City of
Englewood their Warran ty Deed to said property upon the tender of the balance of
the purchase price as herein above stipulated, said property to be conveyed tree
and clear of all liens and encumbrances• The seller are to pay 1954 taxes.
This option to be accepted or rejected by December 81 1954.

Received of the City of Englewood, a municipa l corporation, the swn of One Hundred
($100.00) Dollars as deposit on account of t he purchase prtce of the following
described r e al est Dte , s ituate in the City of En c lewood, County of Arapahoe, State
.-or Colorado, to-wit:
Lots 26 and 27, Block 1, Hi gi;ins En glewood Gardens,
which tract is to be used for highway purposes and which tract is numbered Highway
Parcel No. 20.
The entire price to be pa id by the City of En glew ood for said premises is Seven
Th o usand Four Hundred Fifty ($7 ,450.00 ) Dolin.rs, and the balance to be paid as
follows:
Seven Thousand Thre e Hundred Fifty ($7,350.00) Dollars at the time of closing
whic h shall be on or before January 30th, 1955. Sellers to have possession, rent
free, to June 1st, 1955. Sellers to pay 1954 truces and 1955 tax to be adjusted to
date of t ransfer.
An Abstract of Title certified to date is to be furnished within Fifteen (1.5)
days from th is date. A c en eral t/arranty Deed is to be delivered at the time of
closing to the s a id Cit y of En gl ewood, its successor~ or assi.gnes, free and clear
of all liens and encumbrances except 1955 taxes.
