Section 1. That petitions signed by the owners of more than fifty (Sa,C) percent of the
terr!tor18s herein descri~d ass
All of Blocks l~ I, and 9, F. P. Gumaer•s Broadv~ Heights,
were properly tiled requesting the annexation of said territories to the City of Englewood,
Colorado.
Section 2. That said petitions were signed by more than fifty (Sa,C) per cent of the
resident land owners in said territories.
Section 3. That said petitions were in conformity with Chapter 314, 1947 Session Laws of
COioradO, and that said petitions were accepted in accordance with statute by resolution
and ~t publication of notice of acceptance has been made in accordance wit.h law, and no
counter-petitions have been tiled.
Section 4. That said herein described parcel or parcels of property be, and they are
here\iY are, declared annexed to the City of &lglewood, Colorado, and are hereby made a
part of said City, pursuant to Section 2, Chapter 314, 1947 Session Lan of Colorado.
Section S. 'ftlat Mid hereinbefore described parcel or parcels of property be, and they
are hereby declared and designated as •R-lA" Residential Districts, subject to the use,
height, rea and other regulations of Section 3, Ordinance No. 31 S_.ies ot 19401 u
aended, of the City of Fnglewood, and the "Building Zone Map• attached to and a part of
said Ordinance No. J, as amended.
Section 6. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares this Ordinance is
neceasary tor the illmediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and convenience.
Section 7. In the opinion of the 8ity Council an emergency existsJ therefore, this Ordinance
shill take etf ect and be in force from and after its final pttssage and publication.

Mr. Gann stated that the Colorado Central Power Company had purchased property in the
B-.r Creek Basin (aae being South of Hampden Avenue) and they alao had five wlla and
water rights which should be used and offered same to the City of Englewood until such
tim as they would need it for a plant. He stated it would produce about three llillion
gallons per day.

Da,Ja Rea presented proposal regarding the construction of Clarifier at the Plant and
the Elevated Storage and stat.ed lAe would be able to proceed with pl&M and speciticationa
at once if the City decided to retain him as consultating engineer. He stated Hia fee
11011ld be S~ on the ~larifier and 4S on the Elevated Storage.

Mr. Fritainger and Mr. Gabriel came before the Boa.rd and re-il~tted the petition tor
annexation ot approximate]¥ 112 acres West of the Platte River stating thq had 9Cd ot
the property owners and 66 2/3% ot the residents and since the Colorado Central Power
had about 3 million gallons of water per day to of fer they wished the Council might re-
consider and accept the applicaiion. Mr. Griffin with the General Iron stttted the
General Iron Works were not willing to be annexed.
