Charles Dmlham, of 2795 So. Pennsylvania, requested pennission to hooXon to the
sewer. The Council agreed to extend the Sewer and put in a manhole and Mr. Dunham
was to pay only his share of the expense.

A RESOLUTION .AUTHO RIZING THE CHEIF OF TH E FIR E DEPARTMENT TO TAKE OUT OF SERVICE
AND SALVAGE AND SELL THE 1924 AMERICAN LAFRANCE FIRE TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, the 1924 American -MaFrance Fire Truck owned b y the City of Englewood is
obsolete and is unfit for furthur service in the Fire Department, and ·
WHIRF.AS, the Chier or the Fire Department has recommended that this ~t .. be
salvaged and sold to the best advantage to the City of Englewood,
NCM, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said Chief o~ the Fire Departmnt be and he
is authorized to salvage and dispose of the said fire truck in the manner deemed best,
in his judgement, and the proceeds bf such sale remitted to the City Clerk of the City
ot Englewood.

F-FOooa-s (2~) or the Colorado Department of Hi ghways, West Hampden Avenue from the West
City limit line of the City of Englewood to South Bannock Street, toa.ther with
additions thereto, is hereby dedicated to ihe people of the State of Colorado as a
connecting link in, and as a part of 1 Colorado State Highway No. 70J that said portion
ot said street shall be included in said Colorado State Highway No. 70 as a necessary
and convenient link for carrying such highway through said City, subject to re-location
or abandonment as provided by law for said highways.
SECTION 2e That this Ordinance shall be, anc.-l is, recognition by the City of Englewood
of the right of the Colorado Department of Hi ghways and its contractor or contractors,
to proceed at once or at any future time, to corEtruct s aid connecting link of said
Colorado State Highway No. 70 in the City of En glewood on the within described portion
ot stid street.
SECTION J. That the maxium speed permissible on West Hampden Avenue from the West city
limit line of the City of Englewood to South Bannock Street is fixed at .35 miles per
hour and any speed in excess thereof on said portion of said street is hereby declared
to be unlawful.
SECTIC!i 4. That Section 25 (A) (7) be, and it is hereby, amended by striking therefran
the words "2-1/2 feet" and substituting therefor the words "5 feet"•
SECTION $9 That Section 25 (A) be, and it is h ereby, ~dec:l by adding thereto Sub-
section "(18) on west Hampden Avenue from the Hest city limit line of the City ot
Englewood to South Bannock Street within 20 feet of the cross-walk at an intersection.•
SECTION 6. Any person who is 4uilty of a violation of any provision ot this Ordinance
aba11 1 upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not to exceed #.300.00 or by
impr i sornent tor not more than 90 days.
SECT!~ 7• The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares that this ordinance
is necessary for the immediate preservation of t he public peace, health, safety and
conYellience.
SECTION Be In the opinion of the City Council an emergency existsJ therefore, this
Ordinance sha ll talce effect and be in force from and after its final passage and
publication.

WHEREAS, in connection with the improvement an d enlargement of West Hampden as a part of
Colorado state Highway No. 70 in nccordance with plans aid specification of Project No.
F-F0002-2 (22) ot the Colorado Depar tmen c of Hig hways, it is necessary to establish, in
cooperation os llaid Dep artment of Hi ghways, a speed limit upon vehicles using.said West
Hampden Avenue arrl to impose on t he use of said street certain other restrictions not
included in exiatine City Traffic Ordinances, n n d
WHEREAS , pending the passage of an Ordinance creatine such regulations, which .Qrdinance
has been introduced on f irs t reading this date, the Department of HiehWay• requires a
Resolution establishing such regulations forthwith under the &nergency Power.a of the
Chief of Police,Section 3 1 Urdinance No. 11 Se ries of 1937•
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT RE.50 LVED that. it shall be unlawf'ul. to drive at a speed in excess
ot 35 miles an hour on West Hamp den Avenue f rorr. the West city limits of the City of
Englewood to South Bannock StreetJ furthur, tha t it shall be unlawful to park at any
point on said portion of said West Hampden Avenue within five feet of a fire hydrant
or ~1.thin 20 fe et of a cros s walk at an intersection.
FURTHER , BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police is instructed to make effective the
terms of this Res olution under Se ction 3 1 Ordinance No. 1 1 Series o£ 1937 1 by
promulgating the srune in wr iting, siening the 9l1Tle 1 and maintaining it in his office
as a public record until s'!Eh t:ilTle as the Ordinance introduced this date becomes
effective.

first party, will grade, gravel and maintain the roa~ granted, will JnOYe the fence to
the Korth side of the roa~, and will re-locate the junction box 1n the Irrigation Ditcdl
now located on the land to be occupied by the roadway, and re-located the Ditch itself
at a point outside or the travelled portion of the roadway, ll'ld will also install a pipe
line of adequate size to carry the irrigation water to the land owned by t'he Clapp• to
the West.
