Home My WebLink About2002 Resolution No. 056• • • RESOLUTION NO .Q(., SERIES OF 2002 A RESOLUTION AUTHORlZlNG THE APPROVAL OF DIRECT SUBGRANT AWARD FOR THE COLORADO DIVISION OF CRli\,U NAL JUSTICE JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM . WHEREAS, the 18~ Judicia l Di stri ct Juvenile Assessment Center moved into its permanent facility as a part of the Arapahoe County Detention Center co mplex in April, 2002 ; and WHEREAS , this facility has oecom e a "o ne stop shop" for youth, famil ,es and law enforcement agencies within the 18 th Judicial District, with outreach acti r!.tie s at local schoo ls , law enforce me nt and co mmunity agencies; and WHEREAS , the Englewood Municipal Court and the 'lnglewood Safety Services Department rely heavily on the Juvenile Acco untability Center to handle a wide variety of juvenile intake issues; and WHEREAS , this Subgrant Waiver is con siste nt with the actions of other municipalitie s and counties in the 18~ Judici al mstrict and provides a total contribution to the Juve nile Assess ment Center of $452,252, for the period October 1, 2002 -September 30, 2003 ; and WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Englewood approved the waivers for the years 1999 a nd 2000 ; and WHEREAS , the pass age of this Resolution together with the City 's contribution of S2. i96.00, will transfer the City of Englewood's grant allocation in the amount of $26,162 to the 18th Judicial District Juvenile Assessment Center: and WHEREAS, the Englewood Safety Services Department has incl uded this in their budget; NO W, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD , COLORADO, THAT : ~-The Mayo r is hereby a uthorized to sign a nd attest said Waiver Of Direct Subgrant Award Juvenile Acc ountability Incentive Block Grant (JAIBG) for the Federal Fiscal Year 2001 Award -Gra nt Period : October 1, 2002 -September 30, 2003 , on behRlf of the City of Englewood, attached hereto as Exhibit A.
