ENTRY LOBBY OF ENGLEWOOD CMC CENTER AS THE OFFICIAL POSTING PLACE
FOR ALL LEGAL -NOTICES OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD FOR 2001.
WHEREAS , the Bul'·etin Board located on the l" Floor North Entry Lobby of Englewood
Civic Center bas been ,he official posting place for all notices of the City of EnglewOO<!;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENGLEWOOD , COLORADO , THAT:
~-The official posting place for all legal notices or the City of Englew ood for the
year 2001 , shall be the Bulletin Board on the 1st floor Nr ntry Lobby of Englewood Civic
Center and such notices shall be posted under the hr PUBLIC NOTICES." This
Resolution does not in any way of itself create a req w...e ment for notice .

COUNCIL GOAL AND PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On June 5, 2000 City Council designated the bulletin board on the 1'1 floor north entry lobby of
Englewood Civic Center as the Official Posting Place for all Legal Notices of the City of
Englewood . This action was taken in June as we ha(J just moved into Civic Center.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve a resolution designating the bulletin board on the 1st floor north entry lobby of
Englewood Civic Center as the Official Posting Place for all notices of the City of Englewood .
BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED
The OPEN MEETINGS LAW , State Statute§ 24-6-402 (2) (c) requires that "a local public body
shall be deemed to have given full and timely notice if the notice of the meet ing is posted in a
designated public place within the boundaries of the local public body no less than twenty-four
hours prior to the holding of the meeting. The public place or places for posting such notice
shall be designated annually at the local public body's first regular meeting of each calendar
year ."
