SERIES OF 2001
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE DEDICATION OF LAND BY THE
ENGLEWOOD/McLELLAN RESERVOIR FOUNDATION.
WHEREAS, the Englewood/McLellen Reservoir Foundation (EMRF) was formed to
oversee the development of the McLellan Reservoir property; and
WHEREAS, the EMRF owns approximately JOO acres of the 500 acres that •N to be
developed adjacent to McLellen Reservoir; and
WHEREAS, the paBBage of this Resolution by the City Council of the City cf En1lewood,
Colo,ado will support the dedication of land by the Enr)owood/McLellen Re ... M>il-
Foundation for the dedication the land for the road alirnment for Town Center Dr!va and
approvin1 the final plat contin,ent upon a concurrent commitment by Shea Hom•• fJr a
future acceBB easement to future Road "G" throu1h Planning Area 77;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO , THAT:

dedication of land for the dedication of land between the Enr)ewood/McLellan Reaervoir
Foundation and Shea Homes, attached as "Exhibit A", for the road alirnment for Town
Center Drive end approving the final plat contin,ent upon a concurrent commitment by Shea
Homes for a future acceBB easement to future Road "G" through Planning Area 77.
~ This resolution of support in no way waives or delegates the City's regulatory
powers, duties and responsibilities with respect to zoning and governmental issues.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED thill 19th of March, 2001.

COUNCIL GOAL AND PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On May 3, 1999, City Council approved a Bill for Ordinance transferring certain Mclellan
Reservoir property to the Englewood Mclellan Reservoir Foundation .
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff recommends that City Council approve a resolution supporting the dedication of land by the
Englewood/Mclellan Reservoi r Foundation for Town Center Drive by approving the final plat
contingent upon a concurrent commitment by Shea Homes for a future access easement to future
Road "G" through Planning Are-a 77 .
BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED
Shea Homes is currently seeking a final plat of Parcel 149 as show~ on the attached Memorandum
presented to Council March 5, 2001 . Shea Homes , by letter dated March 2, 2001 is committing
to provide future access to Road "G."
