A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A LIST OF PERSONS FOR APPOINTMENT AS HF.A.RING
OFFICERS FOR DISCIPLINARY GRIEVANCES.
WHEREAS , the Englewood City Cot•ncil paaaed Ordinance No. 19, Series Jf 1996 which
modiCied the Englewood Municipal Code ;n regard to disciplinary appeals; and
WHEREAS , Ordinance No. 19 repealed the duties of the En1lewood Career Service Board
and provided that in matters of disciplinary appeala , the City Council would appoint hearing
offi<en to hold hearings and make findings and dsterminationa; and
WHEREAS , the passage of tW.s resolution will provide a list of persons for appoinb.lent
as hearing oflicera for d.iSC1plinary grievance ■ for a period of one year with tho right to be
reappointed by Council on an annuai buia;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENGLEWOOD . COLORADO, THAT:

RECOMMENDED ACTION
The staff recommends the Englewood City Council pass, by resolution, a list of person,; for appointment to
approved list, of hearing officers for disciplinary grievances for a period of one year with the right to be
reappointed by Council on an annual basis;
BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND AL TERNATJVES IDENTIFIED
The Englewood City Council approved the passage of Ordinance No. 19 , Series of 1996, amending E.M.C . 3-
1 N-9 on May 20, 1996 which repealed the duties of the E~glewood Career Service Board and provided that
in matters of disciplinary appeals the City Council would appoint hearing officers to hold hearings and
malr.e findings and determinations.
