WHEREAS . the City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado approved the City of Englewood's 1398 Budget on October 20 . 1997; and WHEREAS , the paasage of this Resolution will appropriate the funda need ed for higher than anticipated costs for Neighborhood and Business Development conaultanta in l q95 ; NOW, THE REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENG LE WOOD , COLORADO . RECOMMENDED ACTION Staff recommends City Council approve the attached resolution appropriating funds for the Neighborhood an d Business Develop merm BO) Department to cover the additional expenditures incurred in 1998. This appropriat io n is necessary because of ~ extraordinary expenditures related to an Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant and the redevelopment of Cinderell a City . The EDA awarded a S60,000 planning gr,mr to the City in 1998. The grant funds will be availa ble in 1999, but the EDA required that the focal mate~ of $25 ,000 be ma de in 1998. The ongcing redevelopment of Cinderella City has req,::i.-ed additional consultant ex penditure s of $125,000.
