A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES FOR AUTOMOBILE PAWNBROKER
LICV:SES UNDER TITLE 5, CHAPTER 16, OF THE ENGLEWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE

WHltREAS, tl-,e City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado has amended the
EngJ.....,.--.1 Municipal Code with the passage ofC.B. 44, Series of 1997, by deleting the
refereDOP to license fees ; and
WHEREAS, license fees are more appropriately set by Council resolution on an annu al
basi•; and
Wlil!REAS, this resolution establishes license fees for Automobile Pawnbroke r

NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENGLHWOOD, COLORADO , THAT:

COUNCIL GOAL AND PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
This resolullon e~tabllshes fees for automobile pawnb ro kers llcanses. Establishing fees by resolution Is required
by Tille 5, Chapter 1.
At the May 6, 1996 study session, staff discussed the proposed moratorium with the City Council. On June 3,
1996 , the City Coun ci l read and passed Ordinance 25 , Series of 1991! on final reading . This Ordinance
established the moratoriu m lo run from June 10 , 1996 lo Oea,mber 1 1996 . Council adopted Ordinance 55 ,
Series of 1996 extending the moratorium until April 10 , 1997. On Febclary 18, 1997, City Council approved on
first read ing a bill for an ordinance extending the moratorium ur.til July 10. 1997. Council approved on first
reading this new license under Tille 5, Chapter 16 of the City Coc:!e on .June 2. 1997 .
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Slaff recommends City Council approvs this resol ution .

No fees have bee n previously established since this is a new license. F ees are set by resolution to allow City
Council flexibility in reviewi ng and setting fees.
