A RESOLUTION EST~HING FEES FOR HOBBY BREEDERS LICENSES UNDER
TITLE 5, CHAPl'ER 26, OF rHE EN GLEWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE 1986.
WHEREAS, the City Calmal of the City of Englewood, Colorado baa amended the
Englewood Municipal Code 'lliln the passage of C.l'. 87 , Series of 1997, by deleting the
reference to license fees; ~
WHEREAS, license fees are more appropriately set by Council resolution on an nnnu ul
basis; and
WHEREAS , this resolutfom establiehes license fees for Hobby Breeders Licenses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT !!ESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENGLEWOOD , COLORADO, THAT:

following fees for Hobby B......ders:
Hobby Breeders Liceme Fee:
Application Fee
Annual Renewal Fee
$25.00
$10.00 paid in advance

COUNCIL GOAL AND PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
This resolution establishes fees for hobby breeders licenses. Establishing fees by resolution is required by TIiie
5, Chapter 1.
At •~e August 1, 1997 study session, staff and City Council discussed this lice nse . On Seplember 15, 1997, the
City Council read and passed Council Bill 87, Series of 1997 on final reading. This Ordin.VllCB es1ablished a
hobby breeders license in Title 5 of the Code. Previously, the license was in rrtte 7 of lhe Cley Code. This action
moved the license to Tille 5 with the rest of lhe City's miscellaneous licenses.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff recommends City Counc il approve this resolution .
BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED
Chapter 1 of Title 5 requires Council to set the fee by r63olution . The fees fvr this license a.-.a not be changed
from prior levels. A fee of $10.00 Is beginning added to cover administrative costs .
No alternat ives were identified.
FIN ANCIAL IMPACT
The City collected $220.00 in fees were collected for this licenses in 1996. Fees are set as •oflows :
Init ial Hobby Breeders License Fee: $25.00
Application Fee (paid in advance): S10 .00
Annual Renewal Fee $15 .00
