The resolution Is required per the changes the Council adopted In the ordinance lllat lifted the moratorium on this Chapter. At the May 6, 111911 study session , 51111 discussed the proposed moratorium wtth the Council . On June 3, 1996, the City Council read and passed Ordinance 25, Serles of 111911 on final reading. This Ordinance established the moratorium to run from June 10, 111911 to December 10, 111911. On Novwnber 4, 111911, Council read and passed an ordi na nce to add this new Chapter. This license was originally contained In Chapter 12 of n1e 5. RECOMMENDED ACTION Staff recommends City Council approve this resolution establishing fees for Title 5, Chapter 17. BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED Licenses under TIiie 5, Chapter 12 were part of the moratonum that began on June 1 o, 1996. The ordinance Council adopted on November 4, 1996 lifted the moratorium and requires Council to set fees for licenses by resolution . In the Mure, Council will review Title 5 fees as part of the annual budget process. The fees for a going out of business and damaged goods sales license are not being changed from previous levels, but an adc@onal application fee is being added to cover administrative cosls. The fees are proposed to be set at the following levels until the next review: Going Out of Business and Damaged Goods Sales License Application Fee : $10 .00 (non-refundable) Going Out of Business and Damaged Goods Sales License : $50 .00 Renewal of Going Out of Business and Damaged Goods Sales License : $25 .00 FINANCIAL IMPACT The City of Englewood collected $40 .00 In going out of busin~ss and damaged goods sales lice nse fees In 1995 .
