A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPENSATION PLAN FOR GENERAL SERVICES
MANAGERIAL AND SUPERVISORY EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD
FOR THE YEAR 1994.
WHEREAS, by Charter amendment effe ctive April 13 , 1981, City Council provided
for the establishment of managerial employees within the service of the City of Englewood;
and
WHEREAS, by virtue of managerial duties assign ed to these positions by the City
Manager, it has been determined that t hey are managerial and the refo r e excluded from
membership, participation, or representation in any co ll ectively bargained employee
system of the City of Englewood; and
WHEREAS , under the Compensation and Benefits Plan fo r Gen eral Service
managerial and s upervisory employees, City Council desires to establish the pay rates for
the year 1994 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ENGLEWOOD , COLORADO, THAT:

Englewood for the cal endar year 1994 shall increase by 3. 75%.

Staff seeks Co uncil s upport fo r the attached resolutions approving cost of living wage
increases of 3.75 % for the year 1994 fo r the following gro ups of employees :
(a) Part-time, Bene fits-Elig ible Emp loyees
(bl Confidential Employees
(c) Police Div;sion Managerial and Supen,;sory Employees
(d ) General Serv.ces lanagerial and Supervisory Employees
(e) Fire Di vision Managerial and Supen~sory Employees
PREVIO US COU CIL ACTION
The previous resolutions for the above groups were approved in 1992 and were eff'!ctive for
Llie tim e period be tween January I , 1993 through December 31 , 1993 .
STAFF ANALYSIS
Cost of livin g wage i{lcreases are key to keep ing Englewood 's tal ented employee pool. For
1993, the wage increase was -1 .0°1,. The suggested 1994 increase of 3.75 % is equivalent to
that bei ng given by contract to employees cm·ered by the Eng lewood Employees
Association .

The attached resolu ti,ms outline the proposed wage increases for the coming year. The
