WHER EAS , unde r th e Compensa tio n and Benefits Pinn fo r Police Division
managerial and supervi so ry empl oye es, Cit.y Council desires to establish the pay rnLes and
in su rance rates fo r the ye ar 1993 ;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RE SO LVED BY T HE CIT Y COUNC IL OF 1'11E CITY
OF El\GLEWOO D, CO LORADO , THAT:
~ Th e pay for ma nage rial nnd su pervisory em pl oyees or th e City or
Engl ewood Police Di\;sion fo r th e calendar year 1q93 shall increase by 4%.
~ Th e City will pay 85% per month of the premium cost fo r dep end ent an d
single coverage. Empl oye es will pay 15% of the monthly premium cos t for s ingle and
depende nt co verage. The costs to be paid by said employees for h ea lth and dentll l in s urance
co ver age shall be as fo llow s:

Subject 1993 Compensation Plans
for City Employees

ISSUF./ACTION PROPOSED
Staff seeks Council support for the Resolutions approving compensation plans for the year
1993 fo r the following groups of employees:
(a) Part-time, Benefits-Eligible Employees
(b) Confidential Employees
(c) Police Division Managerial and Supervisory Employees ~ 1'I 102-
(d) General Services Managerial and Supervisory Employees
(e) Fire Divi sion Managerial and Supervisory Employees
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
The previous Resolutions for the above groups were approved in 1991 and were
effective for the time period between January 1, 1992 through December 31, 1992.
STAFF ANALYSIS
The City of En glewood ha s es tab lish ed, by resoluti on, compensa ti on p lans fo r the
groups designated above. Th e in surance premium s for th e City Self-Fund ed
Medical and City Self-Funded Dental for J 993 rem ain al the J 992 rate. The
Compreca re rates have increased sli ghtl y.

FINANCIAL
The attached Resolutions outline the proposed compensation increase and
insurance premiums. The approximate financial impact of the wage increase is as
follows:
General Services Managerial and Supervisory Employees
Fire Division Managerial and Supervisory Employees
Police Division Managerial and Supervisory Employees
Confidential Employees
Part-time, Benefits-Eligible Employees
