NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNC IL OF T H E C ITY
OF ENGLI::WOO D, COLO RAD O, THAT:
~ Th e pay for managerial and supervisory empl oyees of t he City of
Eng lewood for the ca lenda r year 1993 shall increase by 4%.
~ Th e City will pay 85% per mon t h of the pre mium cos t for dependent and
single coverage. Employees wi ll pay 15% of the monthly pre mium cost for sincl o a nd
depe nd ent cove rage. Tho costs to be paid by said e mpl oyees fo r hea lth and denta l in sura nc e cove rage sha ll be ns follows :

Subject 1993 Compensation Plans
for City Employees

ISSUF./ACTION PROPOSED
Staff seeks Council support for the Resolutions approving compensation plans for the year
1993 for the following groups of employees:
(a) Part-time, Benefits-Eligible Employees
(b) Confidential Employees
(c) Police Division Managerial and Supervisory Employees
(d) General Services Managerial and Supervisory Employees /f:M,p# I0.3
(e) Fire Division Managerial and Supervisory Employees
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
The previous Resolutions for the above groups were approved in 1991 and were
effective for th e time period between Jan uary 1, 1992 through December 31, 1992 .
STAFF ANALYSIS
The City of Eng lewood has es tablish ed , by reso lu tion, compensation plans fo r th e
gro ups d es ign ated above . Th e insurance premiums fo r th e City Self-Fund ed
\1edi ca l and City Se lf-Fund ed Den tal for 1993 remain at the 1992 rate. Th e
Comprecare rates have increased slightl y.
FINANCIAL
The attached Resolutions outline the proposed compe nsation increase and
insurance premiums. The approximate financial impact of the wage increase is as
follows:
General Services Managerial and Supervisory Employees
Fire Division Managerial and Supervisory Employees
Police Division Managerial and Supervisory Employees
Confidential Employees
Part-time, Benefits-Eligible Employees
