Acting Director of Financial Services ISSUE / ACTION PROPOSED Adopt a resolution amendlng the 1990 budget for the Golf Fund. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION The 1990 budget was passed by the City Council In 1989. STAFF ANALYSIS With this amendment to the I 990 Golf Fund Operations budget, the 1990 Golf Course bud get will be In compliance with State Statutes. State Statutes require that each department co11dude tl1e year wltl1 a balanced budget. BACKGROUND Early In 1990. tl1e City hired the Golf Pro as a City employee and detemllned to run the Pro Shop as a City effort. These expenses were not anticipated at the time of tl1e ildop tlon of tl1 e 1990 budget. FINANCIAL The recommended budget adjustments are as follows : From the Golf Course Fund Balance, a transfer of $89,000 to the Golf Fund Operations Is necessary-to cover Ute cost of tile Golf Pro Salary ($35,000) and tile cost to purchase the Pro Shop Inventory ($54,000). WtU1 this antendrnent, the 1990 year-end fund balance for the Golf Fund Is estimated to be $736,000.
