SERIES OF 1990
A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE COS TS OF RELOCATING THE CITY
MANAGER'S RESIDENCE WITHIN THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD .
WHEREAS , Roger Fraser ha'i served as the City Manager of Englewood
since January, 1989, In a most satisfactory manner, and;
WHEREAS, In compliance with the employment agreement, Mr . Fraser Is
scheduled to take possession of a home In Englewood within the prescribed time
llm1t of 18 months from the date of his Initial employment with the City, and;
WHEREAS , It Is reasonable and customary for public and private employers
to provide substantial financial assistance to offset the relocation costs of their
execu tlves, and ;
WHEREAS , the Englewood Charter requirement of City Manager residency,
when combined with a depressed real estate market, places undue and
Inequitable financial demands upon Mr. Fraser;
r-,.. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C!TY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, THAT:
In addition to Section 10 of the employment agreement between the City
and City Manager Roger Fraser, the Cit" agrees to pay relocation/moving
expenses In an amount not to exceed o .-half of the total movtng expenses
(lnclttding $4,000 already specified In Section 10) or $10,000, whichever ls least.
No other terms of the contract are affected or changed by this a ction.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS SECOND DAY OF JULY , 1990.
