WHERF.AS, by Olarter srenanent effective April 13, 1981, City CoJncil
provided for the establisment of managerial a,ployees within the seIVice of
the City of Englewood; and
WI~, by virtue of managerial d.lties assigned to these positions by
the City Manager, it has been chtennined that they are managerial and there-
fore excluded fran 1181t>ership, participation, or representatioo in any collec-
tively bargained errploy-,e system of the City of Englewood; and
WHEREAS, wider the Ccrtpensation and Benefits Plan for General service
managerial and supervisory a,ployees, City Council desires to establish the
p11y rates and insurance rates for the year 1991;

section 1. Based upon the results of the 1990 Manager salary s\llvey,
the pay for managerial and supervisory ""t'loyees of the City of Englewood for
the calendar year 1991 shall increase by 3'f. except for the following posi-
tions: Chief Accountant -.45\, City Clerk -no increase and <:amu,nications
Manager for Safety Services -no increase.
Section 2. The City will pay 85\ per· rronth of the premium cost for
dependent Md single coverage. E)Tployees will pay 15\ of the rronthly premium
cost for single and dependent coverage. The costs to be paid by said
enployees for health and dental insurance coverage s.'1all be as follows:
City Self-Funded -Medical:
$23. 10 per rronth toward single coverage.
$68.40 per rronth toward total dt.--penden t oo,erage,

$17. 85 per rronth toward single coverage .

The City of Englewood, by Charter Amendment, provided for the establishment of
managerial and confi,:lent ia l empl oyees within the service of the City . Thu ■, such
employees are e xcluded from representation in any collectively bargaine<l employee
relation ■ system; i n addition, permanent, part-time employaea are alao excluded from
auch representat ion; therefore, separate resolutions are necessary to provide for
wage and benefit adjustments.
PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS INCLUDE:
l. A Resolution for a Compensation Plan System for Permanent, General service
Managerial and Supervisory employees . The reaolution provides for a 3\ pay
increase effective Jan:1ary l, 199 1, and r.mployees will pay S23 .10 per month
toward the premium cost of single covera-;q health insurance or S68 .40 per month
toward the premium cost of dependent health insurance coverage on the City
Self-~unded Medical plan; or S17.8S per month toward single coverage or $47.85
per month toward total dependent coverage o n the Comprecare Plan; and $3 .15 per
month t vwa rd total sing ·, e dental coverage or S9 . 7S per month toward total
dependent coverage.

In accordance with the budget preparation for 1991, the proposed pay incr ■a1e ■ were
incorporated . The medical and dental payments for 1991 remain t.he eame as for 1990 .
