the City Manager, i t has been datermined that they are confidential and there-
fore excluded fran neri:lership, participation, or representatioo in any collec-
tively bargained erit>loyee system of the City of Engle.«Xld; and
l'IHERFAS, under the ca,pensation and Benefi ts Plan for confidential and
secretarial erit>loyees of the City, City Council desires to establish the pay
rates and insurance rates for the yezir 1991;

Section 1. The pay for confidential and secretarial erit>loyee~ of the
Citi• of Engle..,.ood for the calendar year 1991 shall increase by 3'1,.
Section 2. The City will pay &5% per nonth of the premium cost for
dependent and single coverage. etployees will pay 15% of the nonthly premiun
cost for single and dependent coverage. The costs to be paid by said em-
ployees for health and dental .L1 surance coverage shall be as follows:
City Self-Funded -Medical :
$23 .10 per nonth tcward single coverage.
$68.40 per nonth tcMard total dependent coverage.

The City o f Eogl ewood , by Charter Am endme nt , provided f o r the establishment of
managerial a a onfident ia l employees wi t h in the service C'l f the City. Thus, ■uch
employa11 aro e xcluded from representat i on in a ny collectively bargained employee
relation• ■yotam; in addition, perma nent, part-t ime emp l oyees are also excluded from
such representation; therefore, separate resolu tions ar-3 necessary to provide for
wage and benefit adju ■tments .
PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS INCLUDE:
1. A Resolution for a compensation Plan Sy stem for Permanent, General Servic!!
Managerial and Superv isory employees. The resolut i on provides for a 3\ pay
increa ■■ effective January 1 , 1991, and employ••• will pay $23 .10 per month
toward the premium cost of single coverage health insurance o r S68 .40 per month
toward the premium cost o f depende nt health insurance coverage on the City
Self-Funded Medical plan; or S17.85 per month towa rd single co verage or S41.85
per month toward tot a l dependent coverage on the Comprecara Plan; and S3.15 per
month toward total single denta l coverage or S9. 15 per month toward total
d•pendent coverage.
