Resignation
I am tendering herewith my resignation effective this Friday, May 6, 1988, at
~:00 p.m. I have been the Cit/ Manager in Englewood nc~ for 13 years plus,
and reel that it is time to pursue and devote full -ti me to other en de avors.
Preparing this re s ignation is one of the most dif;icult things I have ever
done in my life, as 1 love the comm un ity and its people. I wish to thank all
t he many Counc i 1 members I have worked for over these years for their
de dication and support. I al so want to thank the department hea ds of th is
c i ty fo r their loyalty and support. I have alwa ys maintained that the City of
Eng l ewood has one of the most dedica t ed, professio nal staffs in this Stat•,
r eg ardless of the size of the city.
Al so , to all the employees of the City, my very best wishes to you anr< m,
si ncere thanks and ap pre ciation for the fine job you have done, and continu e
t o do for the City . The citizens of this comm unity should fe el proud to have
yo u working for them.
In closing, I wish the very best fo r the future city manager , and I know thH
Englewood will continue to be a great place to live and wo rk, and its future
wi 11 be even brighter.
Since r ely,
