HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980 Resolution No. 005• • • • • • .. . ~r r.~ ,, [J RESOLUTION NO. 5 SERIES OF 1980 __ _ A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OR CONDEMNATION OF A FEE SIMPLE INTERKST IN CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, TO PROVIDE A RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR CHANNEL IMPROVEMEN'l'S ON LITTLE DHY CRBBK FROM SOUTll PLJ\'l"J'R RIV.BR DRIVE '1'0 SJ\N'l'J\ FE DRIVE., WBBJtBAS, the City of Bn9lewood deaires to alleviate loss and da••9• fro• potential flooding of Little Dry Creek1 and WHBMDS, the City of Englewood has entered into an ~19reement with the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District to prepare final deai9n for a portion of Little Dry Creek that will assist in allevi- ating floodin91 and WBSJmAS, it ia neceaaary for the City of Englewood to acquire certain ri9ht-of-vay to conatruct the improvements to Little Dry cr-k1 and WHSR&l\8, the acquiaition of the riqht~of-way and construction of improve-nts aro nocossary for the health, safety, comfort, con- venience and welfare of the reaidenta of the City of Englewood. NOW, THBRBFORE, BB IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'l'HE CITY OF KHGLBWOOD, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Right-of-Way for Channel Improvements on Litt1e Dry Creek.
