WllBRBAS, I-470 bas been officially withdrawn from the Interstate Systea; and WBBRBAS, the Federal Funds originally prograllllled for I-470, $158,287,000, were aade available for use in the Denver Metro- politan Area; and WRB1lBAS, approxiaately $61,200,000 of these funds remain available for transportation projects. lfOW, TBBRBPORB, BB IT RBSOLVBD: That the Englewood City Council supports the improvement of Kenyon Avenue, Navajo Street and Union Avenue; and That the Englewood City Council directs the City Administra- tion to prepare an application to the Denver Regional Council • of Governaents requesting that Kenyon Avenue, Navajo Street and Union Avenue be approved for funding from the I-470 transfer fundll; and • • • • That the Englewood City Council is able and willing to ..tch Federal funds for this project if it is selected for funding. -2- 'l ~ I t! :· '• ' ii :!
