RESOL'n'ION NO. 25, SERIES OF 1976
A RESOLUTION NAMING THE COMMUNITY ROOM OF THE ENGLEWOOD
POLICE AND FIRE CENTER THE E. E. "ERNIE" ANDERSON ROOM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Englewood
feels it is appropriate at this time to publicly acknowledge
and recognize E. E. "Ernie" Anderson for his outstanding
record of public service: and

WHEREAS, B. B. "Ernie" Anderson over a span of years
has served as Englewood City Clerk, Arapahoe County Clerk and
Recorder, County Treasurer and County Judge: and
WHEREAS, it is especially appropriate that a portion
of the Englewood Police and Pire Center shouid bear E. E.
•srnie• Anderson's name, in that he has been a part of the
history of the Fire Dep~rtment since the 1920's when he became
a volunteer fireman, and until his retirement in 1949 held
various positions of Assistant Fire Chief, Captain and Trustee
in the Fire Department, which since has become an organization
of paid firefi9htera1 and
WHEREAS, from 1930 until two years ago, E. E. "Ernie"
Anderson was Treasurer of the Colorado State Firemen's Association.
NOW, THEREFORE, BB IT RESOLVED BY .THE .CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OP ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, as follows:
That the City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado,
in honor of the outstanding record of public service of E. E.
•1rnie• Anderson, does hereby name the Community Room of the
Englewood Police and Fire Center the E. E. "ERNIE" ANDERSON
ROOM.
ADOPTED and APPROVSD this 7th day of June, 1976.
