WHEREAS, De•etrfous Corporatfon d/b/a Arap's Restaurant and Lounge, Inc. has heretofore made application pursuant to the provfsfons of Chapter 75, Article 2, C.R.S. 1963, as amended, for the fssuance of a lfquor lfcense to sell malt, vfnous and spfrftous lfquors fn a restaurant and lounge, to be consumed on the premises, to be located at 3866 South Broadway, Englewood, Colorado; and WHEREAS, notice of said applicatfon in the Public Hearfng thereon has been properly gfven and the Public Hearing upon safd applfcatfon was properly conducted on the 20th day of May, A.O., 1974 before the City Council of the City of Englewood as the local licensing authority and all the procedural requfrements of the statute havfng been complied with; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Order of the District Court of Arapahoe County, the Honorable William B. Naugle presiding, three (3) Councf lmen, to-wft: Oavfd B. Clayton, Lee R. Jones and James L. Taylor, have read the record of the Hearing had on the 20th day of May, 1974, and inspected all exhibits in connection wf th safd Hearfnq, and now, therefore, being duly advised as to the entfre testfmony and evidence presented in connection with the license application, said Councilmen are qualffied to vote in connection with the application. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, as follows: That based upon the application of said Demetrious Corporatfon d/b/a Arap's Restaurant and Lounge, Inc. and the evidence and information adduced at the Public Hearing upon said application, the City Council of the City of Englewood does hereby adopt the followfng findings and conclusions: 1. The applicant is the owner of real property at such locatfon and is of good character and reputatfon and has not been convicted of a felony or crime wfthfn any court of the U. S., or within any court of record in any state or territory of the U. S . -1 - • • • ?. The applicant has not shown, nor does the Council find, from the record and the hearing herein, that the reasonable needs of the community are not being adequately served by the existing outlets for sale of alcohol i c beverages within the neighbor- hood area, and the desires of the inhabitants in the immediate neighborhood are against issuing the license. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, based upon the fore goin g and the entire record and the evidence contained herein, the application of Demetrfous Corporation d/b/a Arap's Restaurant and Lounge, Inc. for the issuance of a liquor license to sell malt, vinous and spiritous liquors in a restaurant and lounge, to be consumed on the premises, to be located at 3866 South Rroadway, Englewood, Colorado, should be and is hereby den i ed.
